Bomber Baby Hat

Bomber Baby Hat

Pattern: “Suede” Hat by Candi Jensen for Knitty Gritty (part one and part two)
Yarn: Berroco Suede, in color 3714 Hopalong Cassidy; Berroco Plush, in color 1901 White
Yardage: less than one 120 yard skeins of the Suede and less than one 90 yard skein of the Plush
Needles: US size 7
Gauge:
Modifications: The pattern is written to fit a child up to one year. I wanted it bigger to fit my one year old so I went up a needle size and knit for 4″ before beginning the decreases. This worked well as the hat is ample for my big baby’s head.

Elfin Stitchette

Pattern: Free Pattern from Wee Wonderfuls
Modifications: I omitted the circles on the dress and shoes. I intended to use small jingle bells but couldn’t find bells small enough. I also didn’t put eyes on the doll.

Tulle Bag

Evening Bag

Pattern: flower-trimmed evening bag from the book simple knits with a twist by Erika Knight
Yarn: Silver tulle cut into a long strip
Yardage: ?? I used less than a 3.5 yd x 52 in. piece of tulle cut into a strip as directed in the book
Needles: US size 13
Gauge: I didn’t get gauge but it doesn’t really matter — you can adjust the size of the bag to match the gauge
Modifications: The bag size ended up differently because of the gauge. I also omitted the flower and used an embellished trim instead of the wired ribbon. I couldn’t find sueded ribbon so I used a one inch tube made from ultra-suede for the handles.

Hat and Scarf Set

Pattern: Asymmetrical Cable Hat and Double Cable Scarf from One Skein by Leigh Radford

Needles: US size 15 and US size 8

as you said there are mistakes, i just thought I would check what you thought before carrying on. I am trying to knit the fluffy bolero in Erika Knight’s simple knits for little cherubs, and I am not sure if the instrucions are right with regards to where the decrease happens on the neck shaping. I would have thought that it would be at the neck side of the piece, but it seems to be at the sleeve side, where I only just cast on. Is this correct? anything else i should be aware of?

    many thanks in advance
