The in-season farmer’s market is in full swing now and Saturday night dinners are never better because of it. Local sausage, local wine, local asparagus, local lettuce, local smoked mozarella cheese, local eggs, local radishes. Yum.
wow. That looks amazing. Which farmer’s market is that?!?! You can find all those things there? My local market is nice, but it doesn’t have wine and cheese.
I’ve been reading your blog for a while now and love your mix of craftiness and family. I just had to post today. Our Farmer’s Market opened today for the new season, and we had the same dinner joy. WAHOO!! Lovely, lovely dinners after a long winter. Enjoy it.
Years ‘n years ago the Danes ran a campaign of ‘Think Global, Shop Local’. Unfortunately, the shopping Mecca’s here seem to be the preferred choice among the majority…
Hallelujah, for the farmer’s markets for the rest of us!
if it wasn’t totally impractical and wrong, i would come and steal these in the dead of night. that space heater is making me swoon. and the chair of course, but that heater. nice work jen!
That looks wonderful!

I’ve found most of my staples “locally” now, but I haven’t found the cheese. I NEED local cheese.
Your meal looks to die for! And local wine? Yum. Missouri has some wineries, but I’ve not found one I like.
looks yummy. I missed ours yesterday- we got too involved in our own garden pursuits!
Lucky you! It sounds and looks delicious!
