We have an open space as well, and I am constantly struggling to keep it tidy. We just threw the kitchen set and toys behind the couch as well, in an attempt to keep the mess in one place at least. We also have a half wall, like you, which we do not keep tidy. Everything lands there, and it is my constant nightmare. Thanks for sharing. So glad to hear I am not the only one and I do think it is a worthy attempt! Not only is it nice for visitors, it is nice for you and your family too!:) It looks delightful! On that one day you have to run out of the house with the breakfast dishes still on the table and the living room floor covered in toys, THAT'S the day you'll get a visitor!
