I slipped a few things into my 2007 wrap-up but haven’t really shown them to you yet. This outfit for my niece is one of them.
The skirt pattern is from the Autumn issue of Ottobre (04/07) and is design #20. I omitted the pockets on the back for the sake of getting it done quickly. I finished this up while I was still slightly delirious from being sick.
The shirt pattern is Butterick B4118 and if I make this shirt again I will definitely add length. This is the pattern that I used as a start for the underdress of the Thanksgiving outfit. A further adaptation of the pattern has become the winter nightgown pattern as well. The fabric is by Alexander Henry, What’s Your Number? and I got it from Sew, Mama, Sew. I had hoped to finish a cap to match but it just didn’t happen before Christmas. Instead it will become part of a Valentine’s gift — it’s already cut out so amazingly I have a head start, well sort of.

Very Cute — Love those jumbo numbers in the shirt!
So cute, and what great fabrics!
So cute. I wish I had little girls to sew for.
I love that little outfit. that number fabric is great…and I love it paired with the striped skirt. I am amazed how much sewing you have done and how well you have done with it since you first learned. you do such a great job!!!
