My friends assume I do it so that, if my daughter gets messy, I can just turn whatever she’s wearing inside out. That seems weird to me–what kid really wants to have her mess closer to her skin? (Mine doesn’t, anyway).

I think I also just like having an excuse to buy more cloth (I’m not proud of that part).
