I’m warning you, this is a photo-filled post because, well because my little boy is just so cute. And the sweater isn’t bad either, if I do say so myself. I bought the yarn — Debbie Bliss Merino Chunky — from Maritza when she was de-stashing and I love it, I mean I really really love it. And wouldn’t it figure I cannot find more of it anywhere.
I made the sweater — very quickly I might add — for Tristan using Elizabeth Zimmerman’s seamless raglan recipe. I tried it on him while knitting and it seemed a bit tight but I just kept knitting. In the end the neck was too tight so I frogged back a little and made it wider.
So after that it was still a little snug all around and a little short over the baby belly. So, I decided it would be a very nice gift for some friends having a baby this Autumn. Then I washed and blocked it and now, well now I think it might be Tristan’s after all. Doesn’t it look nice on him?

Oh he is adorable, no wonder you took so many photos. I am glad that the sweater came out just the perfect size for him too. I love the color too. Have they discontinued it, and that is why you cant find anymore of it.
First time here, and all is gorgeous! Your cutest little boy, the beautiful sweater, and fabulous photo shots. Very impressive!
Loved the little fellow in his cute blue jumper.
I am a fan of Elizabeth Zimmerman patterns but over here in Australia I am having trouble trying to get a copy of her “Knitting Workshop” in particular the pattern for SUPRISE JACKET. Would you have the instructions for that jacket? Margaret of Melbourne, Victoria. Australia.
