On Wednesday the postman delivered a lovely box that contained not one but two doll quilts from Amy. Wow! The larger of the two was quickly snatched up by little fingers — I had to steal it back for the photos. It’s a patchwork quilt made up of squares from Amy’s collection of cat fabrics — from what I understand the collection is quite large. It’s the perfect size for wrapping up baby dolls, or kitty cats for that matter.
The smaller quilt — which will not become urchin property — is also pieced. It has nine nine-patches turned on end to make diamonds in a turquoise/aqua and brown color palette. This one is smaller than the cat charm quilt and I think I’m going to hang it in our study. Thank you Amy for spoiling me with two lovely quilts. Tomorrow we’ll see what I sent and to whom.

Ooh, lucky, lucky Mama U! Those quilts are so pretty, and your “teaser” of the brown paper package, tied up with string is sooooo intriguing! Can’t wait to see it!
Lucky you. Both of those doll quilts are adorable.
