[...] I never said thank you to you guys for your nice comments and emails about the post where I mentioned my postpartum depression. I find that most of us want to only blog about the good things in our lives or when we do blog about bad stuff it’s the stuff that we perceive as out of our control. A friend emailed me that she thinks that maybe we only blog the good stuff because that’s how we want our lives to be, and by blogging that way we are possibly bringing ourselves closer to that in reality.
Post Partum? I didn't get that until very late with both my children, I was good at the beginning but when they hit a year old, all hell broke loose. Isn't it funny how we come across in our blogs, sometimes all knowing and all crafty, sometimes mediocre, but generally always put together. Seriously I look at your stuff and think - you have your shit together and I am envious of your great photography and wonderful projects - but as you said - behind the scene it's not always like that. Real life is complicated and full of little issues - but who really wants to air their dirty laundry on a blog especially when it's so difficult to express "depth" in your life.

Regardless, enjoy the soup and happy anniversary! And I really love your dishware. I'm starting to get pretty bored with mine.
